Comox Valley Rendezvous a Huge Success (Again)!  The 38th annual Comox Valley Rendezvous was a great success, with 31 students from a wide variety of countries and cultures attending.  This five-day event provided the student-ambassadors with a North American winter experience, complete with snow shoeing, Nordic skiing, ice skating and curling.

Council on Resolutions 2018
If you would like the Council on Resolutions to consider a Resolution from your Club, now is the time to draft and submit that resolution. For clarity, a resolution is a request to the RI Board or The Rotary Foundation Trustees to take an action that is outside the purview of the constitutional documents. Ideally, a resolution should affect the Rotary world, rather than address local or administrative issues.
However, a resolution proposed by a Club must also be voted on, or endorsed, by the clubs in its district at its district conference, a district legislation meeting, or through a ballot-by-mail, before it can be submitted to Rotary. Resolutions must be submitted by the District Governor no later than 30 June 2018.
The Paul Harris Society
Speaking at the Rotary Club of Victoria Bashir El-Khalafawi, District Chair for the Paul Harris Society Vancouver Island, outlined that the Paul Harris Society is named after Rotary’s founder.
The purpose of the Society is to identify and engage Rotary members and friends of The Rotary Foundation who have the ability and desire to make contributions of $1,000 or more each year to the Annual Fund, PolioPlus Fund, or approved Foundation global grants to help communities around the world.

In today’s world, a compelling brand is one of the keys to success for businesses and other organizations. Your club can help build pride with your current members, improve their satisfaction, attract new members and create more awareness of your Rotary club in your community by revitalizing and strengthening your Rotary Brand. Our Rotary Brand is more than the logo; it is the experience people have in Rotary, when they interact with Rotarians, or hear about the good work we do.
Rotary Awards Information
Presidential Citation Awards
There are two Presidential Citations available for your consideration, for fiscal year 2017/2018 and fiscal year 2018/2019. Clubs that are strong and making a positive difference in our communities achieve goals related to Rotary’s three strategic priorities: to support and strengthen clubs, focus and increase humanitarian service, and enhance Rotary’s public image and awareness.
This year’s Rotary Citation will recognize clubs that complete activities that support these priorities. More details are available at
